Derek Hunter
Derek Hunter is the founder and lead pastor of Restoration Community Church. Years ago, Derek walked the halls of Spring Hill High School as a student—a good kid who thought he had it together. But underneath it all, he was trying to fill an emptiness with all the wrong things. He finally accepted the one thing that would never leave him empty, Jesus Christ. God since called him to return to the Spring Hill High School campus to plant a church and relentlessly share the message of hope, peace and love to our community.
Derek has a B.S. in Psychology from the University of Tennessee-Chattanooga and is an ordained minister of the Church of the Nazarene. He also holds various leadership positions within the Spring Hill community.
Derek and his wife, Kat, live in Spring Hill with their two children, Bennett and Celia. Together, they have a passion for adoption, connecting with people at their kids’ sporting events, and making people smile, not necessarily in that order.
